Churchbridge Fire Brigade formed

Ernie Neustaeter named first Fire Chief

Churchbridge Motors Burns

Carl Howie named Fire Chief

Walter Andres named Fire Chief

Bill Strachen becomes Fire Chief

Winston Jack named Fire Chief

Jim Wolfram named Fire Chief

Dan Laxdal becomes Fire Chief

Fire Destroys Turbo Service Station


1993

Kevin Eskra becomes Fire Chief

Splashers Boutique, Churchbridge Pool Hall and above residence destroyed by fire

VHF radios - 3 mobile radios and 6 portable radios, improving communications


1995

Gas detector purchased due to and increase in carbon monoxide calls


1999

Churchbridge Co-op Agro Center destroyed in large fire


2000

First Rescue unit purchased (Rescue 1)


2001

1981 International/Superior (Engine 3) purchased to replace 1966 Ford Fire Truck (Engine 1)

Churchbridge Fire Brigade purchases first set of extrication equipment (Jaws of Life)


2003

Churchbridge Fire Brigade changes its name to Churchbridge Fire Rescue

Medically trained firefighters begin to respond to medical emergencies to assist EMS

Churchbridge firefighters compete in their first firefighter competition held in Fort Qu'appelle, Sk


2004

Firefighters save a Kitto St. house in early morning fire

Potashville Firefighter Challenge holds first annual competition in Stockholm, Sk


2005

CFR hosts the 2nd Annual Potashville FIrefighter Challenge


2007

Prothero Ave. house saved in evening fire

Engine 2 decomissioned


2008

KS Auto destroyed in morning fire

New extrication tools purchased with funds raised by CFR firefighters


2009

Exemplary Service Medals awarded to Firefighter Corey Berg (22 years), Deputy Chief Jim Gallant (20 years) and Fire Chief Kevin Eskra (22 years)


2010

SAFC Fire Chief Award of Merit presented to Fire Chief Kevin Eskra. The award is presented to a SAFC member who has demonstrated outstanding service and contributions within the community.

Digital P25 radio system put in service

Prince Albert Emergency Communication Center (PAECC) becomes CFR's dispatch provider


2011

1995 Ford/Pierce Rescue Unit purchase (Rescue 2)

Rescue 1 Decommissioned

CFR hosts the 6th Annual Potashville Firefighter Challenge

CFR's team are the Overall Winner of the Potashville Firefighter Challenge

1st Fire Rescue Raffle held from May to October


2012

Fire Chief Kevin Eskra presented with the Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal for 25 years of Service

CFR is the 7th Annual Potashville Firefighter Challenge Overall Winner

Fire Chief Kevin Eskra is awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal


2013

Firefighter Dianne Berg presented with the Exemplary Service Medal for 20 years of Service

New fire hall construction begins in early summer


2014

CFR wins the 10th Anniversary Potashville Firefighter Challenge

CFR begin to move into new fire hall in June


2016
